Sigma Tau President Nick Niemeier has made his dream a reality by turning his hobby into a business.

Over the past five years, Brother Nick has made the transition from playing in a band at some small parties to having consistent business as a DJ, and hhis business continues to show promising growth for the future.

Nick's interest in the business started after he received DJ equipiment as a gift from his parents, and the interest, and the business, has been growing ever since. He has built it up enough to have two full working systems and an equipment van to travel to events.

Nick's ultimate goal is to produce his own music. He studies Music Technology at Western Missouri and his classes give him a better understanding for a wide variety of equipment that's very useful to his business.

Sigma Tau member Alex Ahlschlager sees firsthand how Nick manages to keep up with school, run a business and be a president of Sigma Tau. “He handles the business just like he does school,” Ahlschlager said. “He takes it seriously.”

Nick can be recognized around the Western Missouri campus as “Nick Na$ty” or his fraternity name “Sasquatch,” according to Sigma Tau member Korey Kelso. He can also be recognized by his DJ name “Soundninja.”
